Dimmable Retractable Ceiling Fan with LED Light - 36 Inch Black Fandelier with 4 Adjustable Blades, 6 Speed Settings & Remote Control - Silent Reversible Motor for Bedroom, Living Room & Office

I got this because my room gets super hot. My room faces west and gets that afternoon sun. It’s also the farthest room away from our central air system so it just doesn’t get that cold.I came to like my boyfriends really cold room. He has a fan in there he turns on that emits a tone of power and air. I really didn’t want a fan that looked like a fan but would look like a cool lighting fixture as I just redid my room with paint and decor. I got this fan as that option. I really liked the reversible feature and 6 speeds.I liked that it was sleek. It was pretty easy to install, and overall it does put out air. However just not as much as I wanted. I still love it as it does help the air circulate in my room, I just still need to use the side table fan to feel cooler at night?‍♀️Only other gripe would be that once you install and use your normal light switch to turn on and off, it always makes the beeping sound. It can be annoying. I’d like to flip the switch without hearing the beep. There is also a slight delay when you flip the switch to when light comes on, so if not patient that could annoy folks. It does remember the last light setting you were on which is super nice!!Once finally installed - absolutely what we were wanting. Looks & works great. The installation was complicated for me. The mounting bracket & fasteners were designed to go into concrete ceilings or wood supports. Neither were appropriate for our sheetrock ceiling. I used a small grinding tool & file to enlarge the slots on the mounting bracket so I could attach it to a standard junction box, then I cut the pads to accommodate the new mounting size. That allowed me to mount the bracket onto the standard size junction box. Then, the receiver module did not work properly. The company's customer service, via chat, was excellent. I received a replacement module a very few days afterwards. I also replaced the ground wire attached to the fan with one that was longer & a slightly heavier gauge. I'm hoping the company will redesign the mounting bracket to more easily fit standard US electrical boxes. All that being said, once installed, it looks & works wonderfully & the customer service was a very positive experience.5-STAR UPDATE:My initial experience with this fan left me wanting a few changes (see previous review and first update below), and so I made my voice heard. Fortunately, someone was listening.The designer/seller of this ceiling fan recently reached out to me in an effort to maximize the value I’m able to experience with their product. And I’ll just say that they did so in a manner I can only describe as being quite generous.Apparently they took my review to heart and made some adjustments to the design, namely the memory functionality of the LED temperatures, and thanks to them I’ll be able to experience these new changes. I assume this may be a change that gets implemented in future manufacturing, especially if it required any retooling on their end.Admittedly, I haven’t yet done the necessary swap in my home (as I must first collect the appropriate tools), but for me the thoughtful kindness I experienced from the seller was well enough to warrant a 5-star update to this review. I plan to leave one more update once the swap is complete, but no matter how it turns out, the 5 stars are here to stay.Many thanks!INITIAL REVIEW:Does it look nice? Definitely.Does it move air? Yup.Is it silent? Yes and no.Innovative fan design? For sure.Worth purchasing? All things considered, maybe not.I truly want to like this fan, but I have a feeling its going to drive me really crazy over time.First off, yes it runs silent, but there's an annoying beep every time I turn it on or make an adjustment with the remote. Also, it doesn't seem to remember what color setting it had on last, so if you generally prefer the warmer setting, you will always have to cycle the light three times (which means listening to that annoying beep A LOT). I don't know what the designers were thinking with this. As complicated and pricey as this fan is, the light function shouldn't be this unintelligent. The only thing keeping me from returning this item is the thought of having to risk life and limb while removing it from my tall vaulted ceiling.The simplest solution for this problem would be to offer an updated light control module that includes some basic memory functionality. The modular design of the fan would seem to allow for an easy swap out of the LED power/control unit, the result of which would fix all my complaints (assuming the beep is also coming from that module). If the seller reads this, please please please tell me this is an option so I can add stars to this review. Otherwise I need to prepare myself for long term suffering.FIRST UPDATE:I’ve spent some time with the fan, and I’ve lightened up a little about it. I still hate that there’s no memory or dedicated buttons on the remote for light temperature. I still hate that it beeps loudly into the house and takes several seconds to cycle through each of the ‘color’ settings. I’ve also noticed that the lampshade design allows for ample trapping of flying insects, where they die and show off their silhouettes to anyone looking up. With my vaulted ceilings, I must now invest in a tall ladder just to dump the bodies.That being said, I love the overall design. It’s a bit of a conversation piece, and youngsters seem to get a kick out of it. Most importantly, the light is bright without being harsh, and the blades move air really well. There’s rarely a need to use any of the higher speed settings.Ultimately I can recommend this fan, or at least this retractable style of fan. Because of the size, I probably wouldn’t install it on any low ceilings. The more elevated the better, but you’ll want a tall ladder to remove insects that get caught in the shade.Get rid of the very loud beep when operating some of the functions. Had I known just how annoying it is I wouldn’t have ordered. Otherwise it’s good.Great little fan for the ceiling with light fixture , the Installation was a breeze . I bought the black matte texture which gives it a nice modernistic look . It features retractable blades to hide the blades when not in use . It is very easy and straight forward to use. There is 6 speeds in total, I usually use 2 speeds, which is enough to produce an powerful breeze to cool the room and run very quietly with its efficient motor. The lights can be dimmed when I use the remote to turn them off and on again . it has a very smart feature , it has memory functions , for example , it remembers the light settings so there is no need to reprogram the fan all the time I want to use it which is a good plus and a feature that I was looking forward to use when purchasing this fan and comparing it to other products .Overall, love all the features of this fan, perfect for a modernistic home design. Highly recommended! Please do more research when buying like I did and you won’t regret it
