There are two ways to install these lights, they can be mounted on the pole with a diameter of 2 to 4 inches or just straight on the wall. We mounted them straight on the wall of the cow barn with ease, without the need for wiring or trench. My son is still bottle feeding his two cows and there is a night feeding so these lights are great to have. The lights having 6-8 hours of charge under direct sunlight is enough for providing 18-20 hours of continuous lighting in the dark. With the solar street function, the lights will automatically turn on at dark and turn off at dawn. The provided remote can customize whether the light is constant, as well as customize the motion sensor and brightness. It has a 26ft radar sensing range, which is fantastic because the lights are quick to react to motion and move into full illumination. If no motion is detected at night, the lights will function at 30% brightness. The solar lights are made well and are very durable. My husband says he couldn’t believe how easy they were to install and he is extremely happy with how well they function!I learned about these solar street lights from the facilities crew at my job. They mounted these on 2 of our buildings after staff complained about no light in the alley way leading to the parking lot. It was a great solution. They charge with the sun rays during the day and provide light at night. The motion detector also helps save the battery. When there’s no motion, the light is dim. With motion, it brightens to full capacity. I was so impressed that I purchased 2 for my home near the garage. It takes basic light installation skills to set them up. The heat dissipation feature keeps them from being too hot and possibly overheating from the direct sunlight. They are all weather too! I highly recommend. It so bright. It able to cover more distance. In the botom of the light its visiable.
