First of all, I am not exaggerating nor lying about what I am about to say. I have a fear of roaches so I sleep with a light on to make myself comfortable. So I turned on these lights around July 2021 and they have been on 24/7 ever since! It’s now September 2022 so it’s been over a year. They are not hot, not even warm, and all the lights are still alive and fully functional. If you’re looking for long lasting string lights, this is definitely the product for you.These lights worked perfectly to hang on the wall behind my desk. They’re a nice soft yellow color, not that harsh white you get with some LED lights, which is exactly what I wanted, so I’m very happy with these. They have lots of different settings, like different types of twinkling they can do, but I mainly just like to keep them on the regular plain base setting. In the photo I posted I don’t have them spread out their entire width. I hung them closer together, so that’s bunched up to hang on a 5 ft wall. If you spread them out their entire length there would be greater distance between each strand.One of the boxes I got was clearly a returned product but I didn’t realize this until I struggled for a long time untangling it and then opened the other box to see the strings all tied nicely together. End result ended up being that one of my sections is messy, but it’s now hidden by a curtain. It’s hard to explain. The remote is confusing as far as the timer goes. It blinks and a blinks again so you don’t know if it’s on or off? It’s taken me awhile to get used to it. However, I love the way it looks and still need to hang the new string! I would purchase again, but if you open the box and it’s all tangled I would recommend sending it back for a new one. Frustrating.I love that this light strand plugs in via USB. The lights can be super bright like daylight or dimmed. There are 8 settings on the remote, but it only works from very close. I tried controlling them from right outside the window and it wouldn't work unless the door was open. The cord is nice and thin so the tiny little command hooks work perfectly to secure the strand to the wall. In my photo, I have it set to the brightest they can be and my curtains are fairly thin. It's nighttime outside, but it looks like late afternoon. I chuckled because my doorbell camera switched from night to day mode with these on. The length is also perfect. My old strand was too long and you could see the lights popping out from under the curtains. These are the length of my window so I can vacuum without worrying the lights will get caught.We purchased these to be mounted with floral on a backdrop frame. They are just as described and looked beautiful! They also shipped super fast. One of my favorites!I love the twinkle of the lights and you can change them, there are 8 different modes. They are hanging in front of my crystal curtains and are quite beautiful. They need to be in front of something, possibly a sheer fabric curtain. Maybe behind would work as well. The only thing that I was disappointed about is they only have 10 strands instead of 12. The ones I bought a couple of years ago had 12 strands which words perfect because the window is a little smaller. I don't care for the look of them alone, they have to be with something hanging in front or behind of them.
