I'm updating the lighting in my garage and was agonizing over the myriad possibilities. I tried these and wow! The box arrived on time and was so small I thought it was a mistake. Opened it up and the lights were so compact that 4 rows of two lights back to back were only 4" x 3" x 46". The connecting wires were distributed in a cardboard channel the length of the lights.I read comments here about the delicateness of the metal parts of the lights and how they sometimes come dented or creased. These were perfect. I was able to test them quickly by using the 7 interconnect cords and 1 of the 4 plug/switch cables. I was able to push in the connectors' plugs carefully and not bend/deform the lights. The clips are tiny but match the lights. The screws are also small and as commenters here have noted, the Philips head strips easily. I found that manual drive just part way and then use a power tool to fairly quickly drive until tight prevented stripping. I found that the shape of the head caused a bit of resistance when hand tightening just prior to fastening the clip tight. Going the next little bit by hand had a big chance of stripping the head; whereas, the fast drive had some momentum and overcame the resistance without stripping the the head. I used PH2 size bit. I managed to not mangle the clips but I can see how easy that might be if one tried t rotate a tightened clip out of alignment with a stripped head that couldn't be loosened. I had one case where I used two pieces of 1x4 material to securely hold the clip and rotate carefully. The 8 lights cover a 30' x 12' garage with 4 sets of 2 lights. Attached is a picture I took after doing the first 4 lights. I'll likely get some wire molding to protect and coverup the connecting wires on the beam. I'll also fix up the power side.I wish there were 4 hard wire tails and not just two, but I think I can modify a couple of the provided end-to-end connectors to act as hardwire pigtails. Interestingly the tails have hot, common, and ground, but the plug/switch connectors and the 48" connecting cords only have 2 wires. But that's okay given proper polarization. The 4000K color seems great and the 2200LM brightness is ample. Overall, so far so good. At $7.50 per light, quite the bargain too. I hope they last, but swapping out should be simple if the same form factor is maintained over the long haul.I have used several of the Barrina Lights in a variety of applications and all of them are decent quality lights. These are the same with 2 minor issues. 1. My light meter says they are nearly 6000k and 2. The brightest of the 7 (one of them came defective which Barrina quickly remedied) is not quite 2000LM. That being said they are great lights and do a great job of lighting up the 200 square feet of room they are in and the customer service is good.Love them. Super lightweight. Easy to install and very bright. The additional accessories make a difference. ThanksYes, these are very thin and very light, but they function very well. While they are not “shoplight” 6000k white, they are not warm 2700K either. I peg them at 4800K, just shy of stark white. They were almost too bright for my closet, so I added amber tint film on every three for every one white LED element. If you know how to work with 120 volt electricity, keep to local code, and don’t mind voiding the warranty, they are easy to modify. For example I brought the power leads out a hole I cut in the center of the aluminum base (with proper strain relief grommet) to connect to a ceiling electrical box. They are also very to locate, and re-locate in a basement workshop or garage. They provide 6 house plug connectors, 7 unit to unit connectors, and 2 bare wire connectors, so you may need to do some wire splicing (or contact an electrician) depending on your needs. These lights are very light weight and easy to handle. I installed a pair behind a TV for back light and one in a small 2x4 ft closet using the 120v switched plug. They provide enough light for those applications. I plan to use the remaining fixtures in the garage, but haven't gotten to it. Barrina claims these to emit 2200 lumen each and that seems about right. I compared the brightness to a 750 lumen bulb and using the "eye test", it's around twice as bright. The defuser (milky white) probably absorbs some of the light. The 4000k light is not "warm", closer to "cool" white but not glaring. As noted, they are very light weight but the construction seems fine. I inadvertently knocked them (lightly) on the wall a few times when installing and nothing cracked or fell apart. Still, I wouldn't put them in places they could be hit or shaken often. Being able to plug them directly into a wall outlet and link them together is very convenient.Installed in Garage. Noticed that my garage door remotes would work sporadically. I read somewhere that some LED Bulbs could interfere with RF, such as that associated with garage door opener remote controlsReplaced bulbs from this manufacturer with another and problem solvedLesson learned: Do not install in garage or else expect your garage door remotes to work off and on.
