Not sure how long the batteries will last but because the lights are LED they take heavy duty batteries I am thinking they should last for a good while. We have a large closet in our porch with two folding doors. These work perfect. Just have to remember to shut the doors so the lights will not stay on with people entering and exiting the house. They give off a good beam of light and nice that we could position the lights in opposite directions so the whole closet is lit. We placed them about 2-3 feet from the floor. Guests have commented on them and sent someone the link this evening. Pleased so far. Only thing I did not like is the price but if they last it is worth it.
