Light does not burn very long.I rent, so I couldn't install a hard-wired light. I bought a different smaller model and had it near my front door for about a year before it randomly died. I bought this as a replacement. First off, it's kinda wide. For my application, it's wider than I'd like. It is nice, though, to have the light at all angles. The solar panel needs surprisingly little light to recharge enough for a full night of use. The dim setting is pretty dim, but I was shocked by how bright the full-power setting is. Honestly, I wish it was 25% dimmer, but I'm sure this would be great in a different setting. Overall it's a fantastic product, even though it's not perfect for my use case.Installed these on my garage as it sits out away from street a ways. Concerned it would be too overwhelming for my neighbor but it adds just the right amount of light. They last along time, I've let my dogs out at 3am and been up before dawn, they still have the same amount of brightness.I put these on my backyard fence. They’re pretty cool, they have 3 settings: 1- always on high, 2- always low but motion detector turns them high, 3- always on low.4 stars bc they're made of plastic and feel cheap. I've had them for about 2 weeks out in the rain and they've held up so far.It was smaller than I expected but puts out just enough light. I was hoping it wouldn't be too bright. Motion detector isn't super sensitive, which is another plus. Very pleased with it.Not sure why thickness is an important factor needing rating..Brightness is what I would expect from lights this size.Motion detection unfortunately seems hit or miss.Very bright, put it by the door on travel trailer so could see keyhole an get in at night. It lights up 50'-75' very impressed with the brightness. I keep it set to motion activated only. It also can be set to come on dim at dark get bright when motion is detected. I prefer it off until it detects motion. I definitely recommend this light.When working these are great cheap, solar lights. I have one that stopped working within a day and now another right past 30 days that is so dim (no matter which brightness I select).
