So I have extreme light sensitivity and have a difficult time with lights at night. I have warm lights near my back patio but the rest of the yard is pretty dark at night. I only ordered one 100 foot string because I was skeptical of whether my eyes would be able to stand them. My eyes had a very difficult time handling the light while I was hanging them (at night so I had them on while hanging) and that really made me think that I had made a mistake with them. However, about an hour after I had finished and my eyes had time to recuperate, I completely fell in love with them. I just ordered a 50 foot strand to finish up my yard. The whole side and corner of my yard that has these lights is so well lit (not not overly lit) that I can pull weeds or garden at night. We have been having 100+ degree temperatures so the daytime is too exhausting for outside work. I was able to achieve more last night than I have done in the past month of trying to do anything during the daytime.I see people complaining about the length of lead on this string but I don't see it as a problem. It is actually appreciated at the starting point. When I add the 50 foot strand, I will take the extra lead and run it behind the lights and staple with my staple gun. This way all of the lights will be able to he evenly spaced and no one will be able to tell that there are two separate strings. This complaint is really nonsensical because everyone has different needs and the company cannot meet everyone's specific needs without offering customized service. And if you want to pay the money for customized service then I am sure there is someone out there willing to take it. When you purchase a product like this, you have to take the specs into consideration and adjust your plans/layout as necessary.Regardless, I have only had these lights up for one day and I am very pleased. If I encounter any problems, I will update this review but they seem to be well made and I am going to hope that I am right and we will live a long and happy life together.The diamond shape of the bulbs make the light more rainbowy coming off them. One of our grumpy old neighbors even liked them enough to tell us so. You can link up to 10 together so we were able to do thousands of feet of fence around our whole property and set them to a light sensor to come on at dark. They give off a lot of light. The one downside is the packaging they come in. The bulbs are plastic so shouldnt be easy to damage, yet every single one was wrapped in a thin plastic envilope and had to be unwrapped individually. Took about 20 minutes per strand just to get them unpackaged. And the way they are wound up makes them really hard to get undone without tangling so hard to lay them all out on the ground first to get them undone. But once they are up, they are great!I love these lights. 50ft was perfect for me to drape along my balcony. They are beautiful and a good size. They are super pretty when they are off during the day, and at night they cast a warm light. if the bulbs are against something ( like my balcony and siding ) it casts a beautiful subtle rainbow color effect. I haven't seen them hold up in the rain yet but they look like they should be fine. I'll update my review if not. (Edit: I've had them a few weeks now and it's rained a few times and they have held up great!)(EXTRA EDIT=I HAVE NOW HAD THESE 9 MONTHS AND THEY HAVE HELD UP IN RAIN *AND* SNOW PERFECTLY!)I like how the bulbs are plastic ( I had some glass ones before and they break sooo easily) and how you can replace the bulb or filament.. The space between the bulbs are perfect too, not too spaced out, like some other lights. I will add pics soon. y'all should buy these, cute af.purchased 100 ft strand and two lights would keep going off replaced bulbs and continued to go off replaced with another 100 ft strand and they have worked flawlessly. Been installed around open porch since first week in Oct. They have great light output no need for any other lighting when these are on. Purchased a smaller 25 light string just to have spare bulbs. Also like that the loop for hanging the lights are directly over the bulb. The diamond shaped bulb cover gives them a nice look.Looking for lights to go around our backyard, I had a list. I wanted LED, cafe-style but plastic, but not tacky, and long strands with black cord... these are very pretty. Oh, and WARM WHITE was top of the list. So now we're up to five sets (haven't opened the last two boxes yet though) and everything has worked thus far. A few of the bulbs did get water in them after heavy rains, so my husband is a bit concerned about the "outdoor" claim, since that's how we're using them, but so far so good.I'll start by saying I liked these right off the bat. It's a unique style.I like that they are more durable - the bulbs look classy, but can stand being roughed around and last night was that test.After a severe wind storm blew through for the first time since putting these up, they stood their ground and all worked the day after!Past that, the light it emits is vibrant and impressive. Not overbearing, but by no means dim.Additionally, the spacing between each bulb is perfect and has an ideal amount of bulbs on the one string for it's length. (We did the 50 ft.)Great addition to the patio/the summer!They're beautiful, a must have!One thing I really like about these lights is how long they are and how close together the lightbulbs on the strand are. I also really like the shape of the lightbulb because it gives a nice prism glow at night. However, both boxes that I ordered were not packaged in a way that was easy to unravel. It took about 30 minutes to untangle each strand of lights in order for me to put them up. So it took an hour to get all the lights laid out. Both boxes were packaged that way.
