I have not yet installed these on my boat, I will do it when it is out of the water. In the meantime, I tested them out and wanted to give my impressions.I have a 23-foot pontoon boat, so my plan is to feed the power from the front center and run these around the underside of the lip surrounding the boat. These are pretty much made for my application, with a Y power supply, and 2 27-foot lengths. The adhesive seems to be good, although I wouldn't trust it to hold with just that. It would probably be fine if you were installing these inside your boat, however. It does come with a handful of clips and zip ties, but not nearly enough if you want to support all 55 feet. When I install these, I will use the adhesive to put them into place, and then add more clips and/or ties to help keep them from un attaching, as they will be encountering considerable spray.I plugged them into a 12v source, and they look great. The app will do all sorts of colors and effects, but I will be mostly just using them on blue. They are definitely bright enough and can also be dimmed if desired.Overall, I recommend these lights to get cool effects on your boat, with what should be easy DIY installation.
