EAST INSTALLATION The led light strips for boats has sticky tape backing and extra clips are inclueded, just peel and stick, to ensure your lights stay securely in place. A 3.3ft cord with a cigarette lighter plug for connecting to your boat switch panel. Alternatively, use the 6.6ft cord for direct wiring to your 12V battery. Easy to install and set up. Only comes with a 12v cigarette lighter power adapter and a pigtail adapter you can wire straight to your boat's battery. There is no 110ac transformer with the kit. You can include the smart controller and use it's features, or just run power straight to the strip for on/off. I initially wanted to install these on my dock, but don't want to buy the required A/C adapter, so installed them on the boat instead. I used marine adhesive instead of screws to install the supports because I hate drilling into my boat. The strip's adhesive seems to do a good job by itself, but I recommend extra support. So far, mine have survived 2 hurricanes.The remote works OK but feels cheesy and I doubt it's waterproof. Using the app with the smart controller give extra functionality that I like.Waterproof so far, but time will tell.Recommended
